Mao Mao

The founder of SeekIn, Dr. Mao is a world-renowned scientist with professional expertise in clinical oncology, molecular diagnostics, and cancer genomics and a resourceful entrepreneur with over 20-year leadership role in multinational pharmaceutical and molecular diagnostic corporations.

He was the Chief Scientific Officer of BGI Genomics, accountable for its R&D pipeline and oncology business unit. He was the Senior Vice President of WuXi AppTec responsible for in vitro diagnostics (IVD) product development and clinical lab service. He also held several senior positions at ACRG, Pfizer and Merck.

Dr. Mao is also Adjunct Professor of several universities in Asia. As one of the founding members of the National Human Genome Center in Shanghai, he established the first high-throughput DNA sequencing facility and pioneered genome research in China.

He has published over 100 peer-reviewed research articles including Nature, Cell, and Nature Genetics.
